"Where there is Dharma, there is Krishna, and where there is Krishna, there is victory."
At National Public School, Singanayakanahalli, the joyous spirit of Janmashtami was celebrated with enthusiasm by our Montessori students.
The boys, dressed as Nanhe Kanhas, and the girls, as beautiful Radha Ranis, filled the campus with color and festive spirit.
The day began with a story narrationsession, where two students narrated stories from Krishna's life, captivating their peers with tales of lord Krishna's playful and divine adventures. This was followed by a lively dance performance that beautifully depicted the essence of devotion and joy associated with Janmashtami.
One of the most exciting moments of the day was the traditional " Dahi Handi" activity, where our little ones eagerly participated in recreating Krishna’s famous butter-stealing antics.
The joy and laughter during this event were infectious, making it a highlight of the celebrations.
To deepen their understanding of Krishna’s life, the children watched an engaging video that showcased key episodes such as Krishna’s birth, his encounter with Kalia Nag, the Vishwaroopa Darshan, and the lifting of Govardhan Parvat.
The celebrations also included a creative Matka painting activity, allowing the children to express their artistic talents while connecting with the cultural significance of the festival.
The Janmashtami celebration was a perfect blend of cultural learning, joy, and hands-on activities, leaving our little ones with cherished memories and a deeper connection to our rich traditions.
