National Public School, Singanayakanahalli, celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with immense zeal and dedication. The event witnessed wholehearted participation from students across all grades—from Montessori to Class XII—united in spirit to promote health, mindfulness, and inner balance through the ancient practice of yoga.
The morning began with the graceful participation of our Montessori students, who looked radiant in their white attire, symbolizing peace and purity. With great enthusiasm and innocence, they performed basic yoga asanas, setting a beautiful tone for the day’s events.
Students from Grades I to IV brought a creative and vibrant energy to the celebration by performing animal-themed yoga asanas. From stretching like a cobra to balancing like a flamingo, their poses were not only fun to watch but also helped them connect with nature and their own physical awareness.
The school ground echoed with calm and focus as students from Grades V to XII, dressed in their sports uniforms, assembled for an extended yoga session. They performed a variety of asanas and breathing exercises aimed at enhancing physical strength and cognitive well-being. The session included guided pranayama and meditation, helping students improve their concentration and inner calm.
Throughout the day, the importance of yoga as a tool for overall development was emphasized. The celebration served as a reminder that yoga is not just a physical activity, but a path to mental clarity, emotional stability, and spiritual growth.
The grand celebration concluded with a moment of reflection and gratitude, leaving everyone rejuvenated and inspired to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.
