Onam the popular harvest festival of Kerala commemorates the legacy of a life of equality, unity and prosperity. Onam teaches us to unite by excelling in our differences and also speaks of a time when there was no inequality. Onam brings the memory of the golden era of Kerala, which gave the priority to the welfare of the people.
In the golden memories of the Onam festival and joy, the students and teachers of National Public School, Singanayakanahalli presented a special assembly on 16th September 2024, Monday. Students created miniature Kerala as they came to the school dressed in attire of King Mahabali, Vaman the avatar of Lord Vishnu and Puli the tiger. Students of Grade IV and V made colourful face mask based on ‘Kathakali’ a well known dance form of Kerala and coconut trees the most common tree found in Kerala during art and craft class.
Montessori students brought different kinds of flowers and made a beautiful ‘Pookolam.’
Thus the entire environment at NPS, Singanayakanahalli was filled with festive hue.
